1.1      Background

To enhance the documentation of completed projectsites and support project visibility and reporting, Rwanda Young WaterProfessional invites qualified vendors to submit quotations for thesupply of a high-quality camera and essential accessories. This equipment will support visual monitoring through high-resolution images and 4K video, enabling effective impact assessment and high-quality communication materials.

1.2. Item Description & Technical Requirements

The required camera and accessories must meet the following specifications:

Camera Body: 

●      Capable of recordingprofessional-quality video in 4K resolution or higher

●      High-resolution still imagecapture suitable for publication and digital use

●      Equipped with advancedautofocus and image stabilization for dynamic and low-light environments

●      Interchangeable lens systemcompatible with both wide-angle and telephoto ranges

●      Durable build suitable forfield conditions, including varied weather and terrain

Lenses (3 minimum):

●      One standard prime lenswith a wide aperture for portrait and low-light shots

●      One wide zoom lens with aconsistent aperture for capturing landscapes and infrastructure

●      One telephoto zoom lenswith a large aperture for distant subject capture

External Flash (Speedlite):

●      Rechargeable flash unitwith TTL (Through The Lens) metering and adjustable zoom

●      High-speed sync capabilityfor daytime and backlit shooting

Microphone:

●      Wireless lavaliermicrophone system suitable for on-site interviews and documentation, with clearaudio pickup and minimal interference

Storage:

●      At least one high-speedmemory card with a minimum capacity of 128GB, suitable for 4K video recording

Stabilization: 

●      Professional tripod withadjustable height and stability features for outdoor use

Carrying and Protection:

●      Camera backpack or bag withweather-resistant material and compartments for organizing all accessories

Additional Essentials: 

●      Extra battery and charger

●      User manual and warrantyinformation

2. Objectives of the consultancy

The objective is to enhance the monitoring and evaluation of theSUNCASA project by providing high-quality visual documentation of Nature-basedSolutions (NbS) implemented in Kigali. This includes capturing images andvideos that serve as evidence of progress, effectiveness, and communityinvolvement in flood risk reduction and climate adaptation efforts.

2.1. Specific objectives include:

●     Providing high-quality imagery andvideo documentation for assessment and reporting on climate change and floodrisks.

●     Supporting visual communication of theeffectiveness of NbS interventions to stakeholders and the public

●     Enhancing evidence-based storytellingfor advocacy, learning, and replication of successful practices

●      1 professional-grade camerawith 4K video capability

●      Allrequired lenses and accessories as listed in the technical requirements

●      User manual and warrantyinformation
